The need for and benefit of use and application of ICT tools in all areas of human endeavour is too obvious to need elucidation.It adds a special dimension in a district like Bankura – long regarded as backward across all parameters of material development and enrichment for the people. With application of ICT tools there is a profound change in the quality and texture of local administration as it has helped in extending and enabling access to critical and useful information by the common people. The state-of –art ICT tools introduced by NIC has marked a new beginning and ensured steady and sustained progress in formulation, implementation and delivery mechanism to the end beneficiary—the citizens of this district. The areas are of work brought under the IT coverage in this district are wide and varied and it is on the increase steadily. During the end of the year 2003 NIC, Bankura has taken the responsibility of computerization of PROFLAL (Provident Fund for Landless Agricultural Laboures) for the District Administration This Proflal project is made by the Govt. of West Bengal for the agricultural labourers who are living below poverty line i.e. who are enlisted in BPL (below poverty line) list. This scheme has been initiated by Government of West Bengal to improve their economic condition. This SW is successfully running in almost all the blocks of West Bengal for the last six years. The block level users can dowbload this SW from www.bankura,gov.in with valid User-ID and password. |

arrival (ii) Commodity-wise general trend (over supplied, under

prices, maximum prices, modal prices (iv) Transport use. |
Soil
based Fertilizer Recommendation System (STFRS)

The STFRS information system has been installed in Soil Testing Department, Bankura, Government of West Bengal during April-2007. After testing the soil for a particular area by this department, this information system processes the data and recommends the nature of soil and correspondingly the fertility status of the soil to the cultivator or to the common people. |

Another S/W Cash Account of Legal Metrology has also been installed at their offices which takes care of the accounting part only of the Legal Metrology Department. |

Offices, including, all the 22 blocks, all 22 BL&LRO offices along with three SDL&LRO Offices, in all the BMOH offices along with CMOH office,Medical College & Hospital in Bankura and in 2 Sub-divisional Hospitals, in all the 22 CDPO offices, in all the Registration offices in the blocks along with their District Offices, PWD offices like Irrigation, Roads, Electrical, Civil, CADA etc. and in all the offices like Bankura Collectorate, Land Acquisition, Excise, PHE, Handloom, BLDO offices and in all the three SDO offices in Bankura district. At present most of the offices have switched over to Bank ECS payment system by using this SW. |

VAHAN

of Duplicate Registration Certificate, Certificate of fitness,
Addition/Cancellation/Continuation of Hypothecation, Conversion,
Alteration, Vehicle particulars, Tax collection, Change of Ownership,
Change of Address etc. |
POSTAL
PENSION
